Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that operations against Hamas leaders will continue following the attack in Qatar last week. Speaking at a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jerusalem, Netanyahu emphasized that every country has the right to defend itself beyond its borders.

In response to a question about whether the U.S. was involved in the attack in any way, Netanyahu stated, "We did this completely on our own. Period."
COINCIDED WITH QATAR SUMMIT
The meeting between Rubio and Netanyahu coincided with a summit held in Doha by leaders from Islamic countries to show support for Qatar. The Prime Minister of Qatar, speaking at the summit, called on the international community to "stop applying double standards" and stated that Israel should be punished.
TRUMP'S WARNING TO QATAR
U.S. President Donald Trump, in a statement made yesterday, noted that Qatar is one of the most important allies for the U.S. in the region and warned Israel to be "very, very careful" in its approach to Doha. Despite the reactions to the attack in Qatar, Rubio visited the Wailing Wall with Netanyahu, demonstrating a symbolic show of solidarity. Expressing his strong belief that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, Rubio stated, "The people of Gaza deserve a better future, but this cannot happen without eliminating Hamas."
"THE STATE OF PALESTINE ENCOURAGES HAMAS"
The U.S. Secretary of State argued that Western countries' plans to recognize the state of Palestine have emboldened Hamas.
