A father taking his children to school in the Gebze district of Kocaeli was assaulted by the driver of a luxury SUV after he warned him for speeding.
THE IMAGES CAUSED OUTRAGE
The images in question caused a significant outrage. As those moments were captured by security cameras, many users on social media called for action against the individual.
ARREST WARRANT ISSUED
An explanation came from Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç regarding the images that caused outrage. Tunç announced on his social media account that an arrest warrant had been issued for the person who attacked the father.
Tunç stated, "An investigation has been initiated by the Gebze Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the physical assault on our citizen who warned the driver speeding on a street in the Gebze district of Kocaeli in front of the children he was taking to school."
"UNACCEPTABLE"
Tunç also wrote: "An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect driver within the scope of the investigation. This violent behavior towards our citizen in front of children going to school is absolutely unacceptable.
Every act of violence that threatens the peace and security of society, endangers traffic safety, and negatively affects the psychological development of children will be meticulously followed through legal processes."
