In Adana, 1 woman and 3 people were caught for defrauding 7 individuals with a promise of partnership and love, amounting to 8 million 820 thousand lira.
Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch identified Halil B. (48), his girlfriend Nuray F. (40), and Zeynel Abidin T., who were determined to have defrauded 7 people and gained an unjust profit of 8 million 820 thousand lira through promises of partnership and love. After initiating technical and physical surveillance on the suspects, the teams collected evidence and then moved to carry out an operation. The police raided the identified addresses and detained the suspects at their homes. During the searches at the addresses, 21 title deeds arranged in different names and a promissory note worth 1 million 620 thousand lira were seized, along with a large number of digital materials.
WHEN SHE SIGNED THE DOCUMENT BROUGHT BY FLOWERS...
As part of the investigation, it was revealed that Halil B. and Nuray F. sent flowers to Şükran Candan on March 8, 2022, International Women's Day, and that Zeynel Abidin T., one of the suspects, went to the victim's door like a courier and had her sign a promissory note worth 95 thousand dollars. Believing that her son had sent the flowers, Candan signed, but when she realized it was not the case, she learned through an e-Government check that a seizure order had been placed on her assets, including 5 houses (1 of which was a summer house), 1 car, and 1 motorcycle. It was reported that Candan went to the police to file a complaint, and the investigation began.
HE ALSO DEFRAUDED A NURSE
In the police investigation, it was stated that Halil B. also had a romantic relationship with a nurse working at a state hospital and defrauded her, making her take out a loan and buy a car for him. It was reported that the suspects had a person who could not read or write sign a blank promissory note and transferred their assets to themselves.
During their interrogations at the police station, the suspects blamed each other and were sent to the courthouse after their procedures. Halil B., Nuray F., and Zeynel Abidin T. were arrested after being brought before the court.
