The cup sets produced by the US-based Anchor Hocking company, which gained popularity especially for their yellow color, were among the best-selling products in the world between 1980 and 1990. In Turkey, these iconic cups, which once entered almost every home, began to fall out of use as designs modernized. While many people threw their old cups away, some chose to store them either in cupboards or attics. However, recently, the average value of the cup sets that antique dealers have started to search for fervently has surpassed 3,500 TL.

Many antique dealers are opening ads to seize the opportunity to buy yellow cup sets, which has also led opportunists to get involved. Many individuals who identify themselves as antique dealers are trying to purchase cup sets valued between 3,500 TL and 10,000 TL at lower prices.
PRICE CAN RISE UP TO 10,000 TL
Although the average price of cup sets is around 3,500 TL, depending on their physical condition and models, these prices can increase up to 10,000 TL. The durability and undamaged structure of the cups produced nearly 40 years ago are the most significant features affecting their prices.
