Following the completion of the expert report regarding the fire disaster at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu, where 78 people lost their lives, the Director of the Bolu Provincial Special Administration's Licensing and Inspection Department was taken into custody.
In the Grand Kartal Hotel located in Kartalkaya Ski Resort in Bolu, 78 people lost their lives in a fire that broke out on the night of January 21, and as part of the investigation conducted by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 31 people were detained.
22 SUSPECTS HAD BEEN ARRESTED
Among those arrested were the hotel owner Halit Ergül, general manager Emir Aras, Bolu Deputy Mayor responsible for the fire department Sedat Gülener, Provincial Special Administration Secretary Sırrı Köstereli, and Acting Fire Chief Kenan Coşkun.
1 MORE DETENTION AFTER THE EXPERT REPORT
The expert committee report regarding the fire tragedy has been completed and submitted to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The report determined that Bolu Municipality, Bolu Provincial Special Administration, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, were 1st degree effective. Following the developments, Yeliz E., the Director of Licensing and Inspection of Bolu Provincial Special Administration, was detained.
