The PKK/KCK member Azad Akıncı, who is wanted in the red category, was targeted by MIT. MIT determined the location of the terrorist Akıncı in the Mahmur region with the information obtained from various news sources.

NEUTRALIZED WITH A POINT OPERATION

In this region, located 160 kilometers deep from the Turkish border, the MIT team carefully monitored Akıncı's movements. With a point operation carried out at the most suitable opportunity, Azad Akıncı was neutralized.

Azad AKINCI was involved in the organization of the Free High School Youth Association, which operates under the control of the PKK/KCK, in 2006. In 2008, he was arrested for "Committing Crimes on Behalf of a Terrorist Organization, Engaging in Activities on Behalf of a Terrorist Organization, Making Propaganda for a Terrorist Organization". In the same year, he participated in the hunger strike among the members of the organization in Batman Closed Prison. As of December 2008, he took on the responsibility of Siirt Patriotic Revolutionary Youth. In 2009, he transitioned to the so-called Serhat area. In 2011, he took on the responsibility of the Turkey executive of the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Center. As of 2014, he carried out the so-called responsibility for logistical activities in Metina. In 2016, he attended the PKK/KCK Youth Congress held in Mahmur. In 2017, he served as a so-called responsible level in the KCR (Eastern Kurdistan Youth Association) unit in the Iran area. As of 2023, he carried out activities as the so-called Secretary General of the PKK/KCK Mahmur.
