USDT and USDC Boost Opera Mini's Power

Popular internet browser Opera continues to announce new features to expand in the Web3 and Blockchain fields. Opera Mini, the mobile browser of Opera, has added new features to its crypto wallet MiniPay. With these updates, users can now easily use the popular stablecoins Tether (USDT) and Circle's USDC.

The new feature of MiniPay, "Pockets," was announced a few months ago. With this innovation, users can convert between cUSD, USDT, and USDC in seconds. Moreover, these transactions can be carried out with a simple "drag and drop" method without any additional fees or hidden costs.

Jørgen Arnesen, Vice President of Opera Mobile, made comments about the new features. Arnesen emphasized that users can now transfer assets comfortably without worrying about gas fees.

MiniPay was launched in September 2023, specifically targeting mobile users in Africa. This wallet, which operates on the Celo Blockchain network, aims to provide solutions to internet access issues and high costs in the region. Arnesen stated that they identified consumers' concerns about high transaction fees, unreliable service times, and limited payment options in their research.
