The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has decided to detain 10 suspects as part of an investigation into the financial structure of the ISIS terrorist organization. It has been determined that the suspects provided financial resources to the organization.
As part of the investigation into the financial structure of the terrorist organization ISIS in Ankara, a decision was made to detain 10 suspects.
BANK ACCOUNT ACTIVITIES IDENTIFIED WITH MASAK REPORTS
Based on the instructions given within the scope of the investigations conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau; bank account activities identified by MASAK reports, through social media posts, were found to provide financial support to members of the ISIS armed terrorist organization and their families residing in the country and operating in conflict zones in Syria, by making cash donations through bank account numbers opened for organizational purposes with explanations such as 'charity, call to monotheism, atonement, for Syria, madrasa charity aid, assistance for captive sisters, dar al-erqam, etc.' It was determined that 10 suspects committed the crime of financing terrorism by providing financial resources to the ISIS armed terrorist organization and that evidence was obtained regarding their involvement in the Ankara structure of the armed terrorist organization, leading to a decision for their simultaneous detention starting from December 23, 2025.
OPERATIONS TO CAPTURE SUSPECTS HAVE BEGUN
It was reported that operations for the capture of the suspects and their transfer to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are ongoing by the teams of the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch.
