Over 2,500 More Virus Cases Reported In Southeast Asia

60 COVID 19 patients died, nearly 1,300 recovered in the region over past 24 hours.

The number of coronavirus cases in Southeast Asian countries reached 195,737 on Tuesday, including 5,528 fatalities and 113,154 recoveries.
A total of 2,598 more cases, 60 deaths, and 1,298 recoveries were recorded in member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations over the past day.
Indonesia, the worst-hit in the region, reported 54 fatalities, bringing the nationwide death toll to 3,710.
The number of cases climbed to 78,572 with 1,591 additions, while recoveries rose by 947 to reach 37,636.
The Philippines reported six more virus-related fatalities, raising the country's death toll to 1,603.
The number of infections increased by 634 to reach 57,545, while 88 more recoveries pushed the total to 20,459.
In Singapore, 347 new cases were registered over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 46,630, while death toll stands at 26.
The Health Ministry said a majority of the new cases are work permit holders residing in foreign workers' dormitories.
Malaysia confirmed four more cases, pushing the total to 8,729, while recoveries reached 8,524 and the death toll remained at 121.
In Thailand, seven more cases pushed the total to 3,227, of which 3,091 patients have recovered.
Myanmar confirmed five new virus cases, bringing the overall count to 336.
A total of 261 patients have recovered in the country so far.
Vietnam reported one new infection, moving its total cases to 373.
The number of recoveries reached 352, while no fatality has been reported in the country to date.
In Cambodia, nine new cases were registered over the past day, bringing the tally to 165, including 133 recoveries.
There were no reports of more COVID-19 infections or fatalities in Brunei Darussalam and Laos, making them the only member countries of the bloc that are currently coronavirus free. -
