Responding clearly to a question about the steps they would take if the Court of Cassation annuls the absolute nullity or precautionary decision regarding CHP, Özel stated that they have drawn their political map.
FIRST MESSAGES AS CHAIRMAN
Emphasizing that their political course is set and there is no turning back, Özel expressed that legal debates or judicial decisions cannot stop this new political movement they have initiated. The New Party Chairman declared, "You cannot walk in politics without burning bridges. The New Party will continue its march," underscoring the party's political determination and goals.
GOAL IS SINGLE-HANDED POWER
Highlighting the importance they place on women's and youth representation in politics, Özgür Özel stated they will sustain the approach that brought the March 31 victory in the New Party. Saying they not only open space for the youth but also co-construct politics with them, Özel noted they will stand against divisive politics and announced the party's main goal: "The New Party's goal is to become the single-handed government."
FIGURANT DEBATES IN CHP
Addressing allegations that individuals are used as "figurants" in ongoing membership registration processes in CHP, Özel said, "If you, as a political party, undertake a task, it must be carried out with the transparency and authenticity you promise to the public. If there is a setup there, uncovering it is a journalistic achievement. It is impossible to accept the language used afterward." He agreed with MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli's words that "Halls filled without touching hearts have no significance," making a reference to CHP.
