The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, made striking statements about the crime organization leader Aziz İhsan Aktaş during his party's parliamentary group meeting. Özel said, "The crime organization leader Aziz İhsan Aktaş... I'm not saying this, the prosecutor is. He is wandering around. Whether he is wandering or not is unknown. It is also said that he has been fleeing these days."
Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel made evaluations regarding the agenda at the group meeting held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). In a part of his speech, Özel referred to Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who is alleged to be the leader of a criminal organization, and made a striking claim.
Özel stated in his speech, "Aziz İhsan Aktaş. I am not saying this. The prosecutor is saying it. They say 'criminal organization leader.' They say 'he saw the organization.' They say 'he did this, he did that.' They say 'then he came and confessed to us.' They say 'he told something to everyone who came in front of him.' They want 704 years in prison for him, but he is wandering around freely. He is roaming around. It is unknown whether he is roaming or not. It is said that he has been fleeing these days. If someone sees him, if someone knows, it will be said. But the man who is being tried for 704 years is inside, while our mayors, who are being tried for 4 years based on his slander, are in prison. The one who is being tried for 704 years is wandering." he said.
"YOU CANNOT KEEP SOMEONE BEING TRIED FOR 4 YEARS WHILE A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION LEADER BEING TRIED FOR 704 YEARS IS WANDERING"
Someone being tried for 4 years is serving time in prison. For 6 months, for 8 months, for 10 months. If the one being tried for 4 years receives a 4-year sentence, the time he has served is almost equal to the sentence he will receive. The time served is already that much. We are facing such lawlessness. We are facing a terrible process. Therefore, I would like to summarize the issue briefly. They caught him, as I said a little while ago. They called him a 'thief,' they called him 'corrupt,' they called him a 'terrorist.' They said this, they said that. They saw it wasn't working. Hopefully, the indictment will be registered tomorrow, and all our friends will start to be tried without detention. Our expectation is in that direction. It is the requirement of the law, the requirement of justice, the requirement of conscience. You cannot keep someone being tried for 4 years inside while a criminal organization leader being tried for 704 years is wandering. You cannot keep any person you accuse inside. Because you cannot proceed on such slander.
