Teachers at Özel Hece College in the Sincan district of Ankara went on strike because they have not received their salaries for 3 months. Parents, upon learning that the teachers were not attending classes, gathered in front of the school to protest the school administration.

THEY COULDN'T MEET WITH THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

Parents stated that the school did not have a bus service and that students were being taken home by private vehicles, and they expressed that today the right of students to receive education was being obstructed. They wanted to meet with the school administration. Parents, who could not meet with anyone from the school administration, said that their children were suffering and that they could not get any information from anyone.

"THERE CANNOT BE SUCH AN EDUCATOR"

A citizen said, "It was clear that there was a problem at the school 3 months ago. When I wanted to discuss this with the school administration, a gentleman who was the school principal told me. I said that there are problems at the school. He told me, 'If you don't like it, take them out.' I got angry all of a sudden and said, 'You are an educator, how can you use such a phrase? I, as a parent, am saying that there is a problem at this school, but you are telling me to take my children out of school and enroll them in another one.' There cannot be such an educator, such a mindset cannot exist," he said.
