Some passengers on the Antalya-London flight caused trouble during the journey. As a result, the plane made an emergency landing at Bulgaria's Sofia Airport, and the pilot's words, 'We need police and an ambulance. Come to the plane as quickly as possible,' were recorded.
According to the information obtained, the Jet2 Airways aircraft departed from Antalya Airport last evening to operate the London Gatwick flight. Shortly after takeoff, some passengers on the plane started causing trouble. The cabin crew reported the situation to the pilot.
"GET ON THE PLANE QUICKLY"
While the aircraft was cruising over Bulgarian airspace, the pilot contacted the Sofia Airport Air Traffic Controller and reported the emergency to the teams. Those moments were recorded by the tower pilot conversations. The pilot's words, "We need police and an ambulance. Get on the plane as quickly as possible. We will ask the passengers to remain seated until the authorities arrive," were captured in the records.
Previously, an aircraft belonging to the same airline operating the Antalya-Manchester flight made an emergency landing at Brussels Airport after an argument among passengers escalated into a fight. Two passengers taken into custody by police were permanently banned from flights by the airline.
