Shooting at train station spurs safety measure.

The Pentagon went into lockdown early Tuesday after reports of shots fired at a nearby train station.

The Pentagon Force Protection Agency, in charge of the building's security, announced that no one is temporarily allowed inside the complex while authorities investigate a shooting at the Metro Bus platform, CNN reported.

That platform is a major transit hub near the Pentagon and is used by multiple bus lines.
