President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed the Emir of Qatar, Al Thani, with a ceremony at the Presidential Complex during his visit to Turkey. Erdoğan and Al Thani posed for a photo while shaking hands during the welcome.

The meeting between President Erdoğan and Al Thani at the Presidential Complex was closed to the press.

In his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, President Erdoğan stated that the international community needs to cooperate in the reconstruction process of Syria.

President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey is fighting against all terrorist organizations to protect its national security and that the instability in Syria must come to an end urgently.
