President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the AK Party in Diyarbakır.

Speaking here, Erdoğan commented on the DEM Party - Imralı meeting that took place following the call of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and the developments that followed, stating, "A window of opportunity has opened to end terrorism."

Evaluating the new process, Erdoğan stated, "The works that have been carried out have a single purpose: the disbandment of the terrorist organization, the surrender of weapons, the complete removal of the organization's dominance over politics, providing an opportunity for the political structure that cannot gain the status of a Turkey party to develop itself in this direction, strengthening our internal front against the increasing conflicts in our region, and burying the half-century-long separatist terrorist parentheses in all its dimensions."
