President Erdoğan's condolence message regarding the passing of Ferdi Tayfur.

Famous artist Ferdi Tayfur passed away at the age of 79 due to liver and kidney failure. Tayfur's death resonated greatly in the art and political community.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM ERDOĞAN

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan published a condolence message on his social media account regarding the late Tayfur.

"I FELT GREAT SORROW"

In his post, Erdoğan stated: "I felt great sorrow at the passing of Mr. Ferdi Tayfur, one of the most important and valuable figures in our art community and Turkish music. I pray for God's mercy upon Ferdi Tayfur; I extend my condolences to his family, loved ones, and our art community. May his place be paradise."

FUNERAL CEREMONY DETAILS ANNOUNCED

The ceremony program for Tayfur has also been announced. According to the statement made by Recep Ergül, President of the Turkish Musicians' Rights Organization (MESAM), a funeral ceremony will be held for the master artist on January 4, Saturday, at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Tayfur's funeral will be buried at Yeniköy Cemetery after the prayer to be held at Emirgan Çınaraltı Mosque in the afternoon.

STATEMENT FROM FERDI TAYFUR'S PRESS ADVISOR

Ferdi Tayfur's press advisor Şirin Gözalıcı also shared details regarding the funeral ceremony. Gözalıcı stated, "After the memorial service for Mr. Ferdi Tayfur to be held on Saturday at 12:00 at the Atatürk Cultural Center, the funeral prayer will be held at Emirgan Çınaraltı Mosque, and he will be buried in the family cemetery in Yeniköy following the afternoon prayer."
