In Gaziantep, during the 5113 Earthquake and Social Housing Key and Title Delivery Ceremony, President Erdoğan made statements criticizing the opposition with harsh words.

HE STRUCK ÖZEL WITH A MONEY TOWER

Targeting CHP Chairman Özgür Özel for building a tower with example money he brought to the podium in the party group, Erdoğan said, "We are producing great works to serve our nation, working like ants. Continuing his statement without naming names, Erdoğan criticized Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) President Ekrem İmamoğlu over Istanbul traffic, saying, "They can't even operate bus services properly. The İzmir Bay has been left to its fate. Another one turned the traffic that was functioning six years ago into a complete mess. When it comes to social security institutions, they bring water from forty rivers. We are faced with an incompetent mentality that falls apart no matter where you hold it. May God give patience to the citizens living in the municipalities they manage," he said.

Özel, emphasizing the purchasing power of the TL, pointed out that in 2009, the average price of a vehicle was 26,000 TL, while today it is 1 million 800 thousand TL, saying, "Mr. Tayyip, you need to account for this money tower. When a local currency came out, you could buy a vehicle for 1.3 bundles, but today you need to carry 90 bundles of money in a suitcase," he said.
