The Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) has published the highly anticipated 2026 Principal Decree. With the decree creating great movement in the judiciary, a total of 4,967 judges and prosecutors, including 4,608 in criminal justice and 359 in administrative justice, had their duty stations changed. One of the most notable appointments in this massive decree occurred within the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

İstanbul Public Prosecutor Ebubekir Efe, who conducted critical drug investigations targeting famous figures closely followed by the public and the entertainment world, has been appointed to the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office under the new decree. After his successful work at the Istanbul Courthouse, Efe will continue his duties at his new post.

Ebubekir Efe made a name for himself by handling some of the most critical and sensitive cases of recent times. In addition to drug operations that shook the art world, Efe also managed the investigation against journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy, earning recognition in the judiciary through these cases.
Efe, who worked on critical cases, will begin his new assignment in Silivri following the HSK's latest decision.
