The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) has completed its discussions regarding the fare increase for public transportation. Following the discussions, a fare increase has been implemented for public transport. The full ticket price is now 26 TL, and the student ticket price is 13 TL.
In the meeting of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), a proposal to increase ticket prices by 23.8% was discussed. It is expected that with this increase, the full ticket price will rise to 26 TL.
TICKETS INCREASED BY 5 LIRA
Currently, the full ticket price, which is 21 TL, has increased to 26 TL with a 23.8% increase. As a result of the sustainability demands of private operators and the cost analyses of the EGO General Directorate, starting from February 16, 2025, the full ticket will be set at 26 lira, and the student ticket at 13 lira.
STUDENT SUBSCRIPTION FEE IS 350 LIRA
The monthly unlimited student subscription fee has been set at 350 lira. In a statement from EGO, it was said, "No commission fee will be charged for our citizens loading balance onto their transportation cards with bank and credit cards." The statement continued with the following remarks:

A new application has been launched for our citizens who live on minimum wage and receive support from our municipality. Under the "Minimum Wage Support Package," monthly 50 rides will be loaded onto the bus cards of citizens receiving support. Additionally, monthly subscription support for 100 rides will continue to be provided for middle and high school students from families receiving social assistance.
By maintaining our student-friendly tariff, the MONTHLY UNLIMITED STUDENT SUBSCRIPTION FEE has been set at only 350 TL. Thus, the most advantageous transportation opportunities will continue to be offered to our students.
Support for private public bus operators will also continue.
