Ankara Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan and Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı are joining the AK Party. The mayors arrived at the AK Party Headquarters to pin their badges.

The transfer claims that stirred up political circles have been made official. Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan and Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı are joining the AK Party ranks.

ERDOĞAN WILL PIN THEIR BADGES

Before the AK Party Extended Provincial Chairs Meeting to be held in Ankara, both mayors entered the AK Party Headquarters for the ceremony. It is expected that the party badges of the mayors will be personally pinned by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

• Mesut Özarslan (Keçiören): After resigning from the CHP, Özarslan, whose political direction had long been discussed behind the scenes, confirmed the claims of switching to the AKP and arrived at the Headquarters.

• Rasim Arı (Nevşehir): Having started his political career in the AK Party, then resigning for health reasons and moving to the İYİ Party, Arı will return to his former party after approximately 4.5 years.
