After the resignation of CHP council member Murat Salman, İbrahim Soytürk also stepped down from his position. Thus, the number of resignations has risen to four. In the municipality where the balance of power has shifted, if Mayor Hasan Mutlu is arrested and removed from office, the administration could pass from the CHP to the AK Party.

THE NUMBER OF RESIGNATIONS HAS INCREASED TO 4
Following the resignation of CHP council member Murat Salman, İbrahim Soytürk has also left his position. Thus, the number of resigning council members has increased to four.
THE ARITHMETIC OF THE COUNCIL HAS CHANGED
After the recent developments, the balance in the Bayrampaşa Municipal Council has changed. The number of CHP members is now 18, while the total number of AK Party and MHP members is 15. Although the 4 resigning members are currently independent, the municipality could change hands in the event of a possible party switch.
THE MUNICIPALITY MAY SWITCH TO THE AK PARTY
On the other hand, it is stated that if Mayor Hasan Mutlu, who was detained during the operation, is arrested and removed from office, the municipality could switch from CHP to AK Party. A total of 48 people had been detained along with Mutlu.
