25 PEOPLE DETAINED IN THE NARIN GÜRAN MURDER CASE

Turkey has been talking about the Narin Güran case for days. 8-year-old Narin, who went missing after leaving the Quran course in Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, was found in a sack in the bed of the Eğertutmaz Stream, which had been checked several times before, on the 19th day of the search. 25 people, including family members, were detained in connection with the incident.

STATEMENT OF NARIN'S UNCLE REVEALED

The revelations made by the informant about Narin's uncle Salim Güran, the sole imprisoned suspect in the case, caused a sensation. The informant stated that Salim Güran told him that he would give him 200,000 TL to dispose of Narin's body. The answers given by the number one suspect Salim Güran to the judge's questions have also come to light.

Meanwhile, there have been consecutive confessions from secret witness N.B. regarding the imprisoned uncle Salim Güran. After it was determined that he went to the stream with his car, the suspect was arrested and during the interrogation, he said, "The muhtar (Narin's uncle) gave me the body in a sack. I took the sack and took it to the stream." The secret witness also said that the uncle offered him 200,000 TL to dispose of the body. The secret witness, who said that he went home and prayed after disposing of the body, and then participated in the search efforts, confessed that Salim Güran was also involved in the search efforts.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 21, when Narin Güran went to the Quran course in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district, her family searched for her when she did not return home, and when no results were obtained from the search, Narin's father Arif Güran reported her missing on the same day around 8:00 pm. As a result, numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village.

While the search efforts were ongoing, Narin's brother E.G. (18) was detained due to bite marks on his arm. When it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released.

Then Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village headman) of the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, Salim Güran, was detained. Salim Güran, whose DNA samples taken from his vehicle matched the DNA samples from Narin's clothes, was arrested for "intentional killing" and "deprivation of liberty."

As the teams focused on the previously searched areas again, they conducted a search in the Eğertutmaz Stream, which is 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and found Narin's lifeless body on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin was killed and thrown into the stream in a sack, which was covered with stones.
