The United States announced that it has restricted Iranian diplomats traveling to New York for the UN General Assembly from shopping at wholesale stores and purchasing luxury goods. State Department spokesperson Rigott stated that they would not allow Iranian officials to shop in New York while the Iranian people are living in hardship.
The spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Tommy Pigott, stated in a statement that Iranian officials would be "limited to areas where they need to go to and from the UN headquarters to carry out their official duties at the UN General Assembly."
Pigott noted that Iranian officials, including staff from the Iranian mission in New York, must obtain prior permission to have any wholesale store membership and to shop in the U.S.

Spokesperson Pigott expressed that they would not allow Iranian officials to shop in New York while the Iranian people are living in distress.
THEY WILL NEED PERMISSION FOR CARS OVER 60 THOUSAND DOLLARS
According to CNN, Iranian officials need to obtain prior permission for watches over 1000 dollars, leather and silk clothing, fur, jewelry, perfume, electronic devices, alcoholic beverages, and cars over 60 thousand dollars.
