The Russian army has captured the cities of Dimitrov and Gulyaypole in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing gratitude to the Russian soldiers, stated, "The capture of Dimitrov is a significant step towards the complete liberation of the Donetsk People's Republic. Gulyaypole is the second largest city in the Zaporizhzhia region. The liberation of this city provides opportunities for the advancement of our troops in Zaporizhzhia."

In a statement from the Kremlin Palace, it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the command center of the Joint Military Group.

In the statement, it was noted that Chief of the General Staff of Russia Valeriy Gerasimov, Commander of the Central Military Group Valeriy Solodchuk, and Commander of the Eastern Military Group Andrey Ivanayev provided Putin with information about the situation on the front in Ukraine, and it was stated, "Putin was informed that the cities of Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic and Gulyaypole in the Zaporijya region have been liberated."
