A firefighter named Ramazan Şaşkın, 38 years old, who suffered a heart attack while responding to a forest fire in the Orhaneli district of Bursa, could not be saved at the hospital where he was taken.
Yesterday, around 4:00 PM, a fire broke out in the Meyran area on the Harmancık road in the Orhaneli district, and it was largely brought under control after 10 hours, with the flames surrounded.
HE SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK DURING COOLING OPERATIONS
Firefighter Ramazan Şaşkın, who was on duty in the area where extinguishing and cooling operations were ongoing, suffered a heart attack during the intervention yesterday. After the initial intervention by the medical teams, Şaşkın was first taken to Çekirge State Hospital and then transferred to Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital. Despite all the efforts of the doctors here, Ramazan Şaşkın could not be saved.
HE HAD SURGERY A WEEK AGO
It was learned that Ramazan Şaşkın had undergone surgery a week ago due to an orthopedic condition in his leg and that he had developed a clot in his lung during the intervention to the fire.
