HE GAVE A STATEMENT IN THE ILLEGAL BETTING INVESTIGATION

Saran was summoned to give a statement as part of the illegal betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Arriving at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan under police escort, Saran left the courthouse after giving his statement to the Cyber Crimes Investigation Bureau.

RTÜK HAD IMPOSED A FINE FOR ILLEGAL BETTING

The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) stated that illegal betting advertisements were made through the S Sport and S Sport Plus platforms owned by Saadettin Saran, and imposed a fine for 'illegal betting advertisement' on Saran's channels. The institution, which is the broadcaster of the Spanish (La Liga) and Italian (Serie A) leagues, stated that they could not broadcast the illegal betting advertisements on the billboards of their own accord and decided to temporarily suspend the broadcasts of these leagues.
