It has been revealed that Şahan Gökbakar, who purchased a luxury villa in a cove accessible only by sea in Marmaris, constructed a dock without permission. Following reactions, an investigation was initiated, which determined that the dock was illegal, and it was demolished by court order.
Famous comedian Şahan Gökbakar has been in the news for a long time with his luxury villa in Marmaris. It was known that Gökbakar purchased a duplex villa in 2021 for approximately 10 million TL from a professor in Ankara, located in the Delikyol area between Selimiye and Turgut neighborhoods, which can only be accessed by sea.
However, some modifications made by the comedian in this cove were met with public backlash.
According to allegations, Gökbakar built an unauthorized pier on the beach strip in front of the villa, hung a sign saying "Private Property, No Entry," and had sea sand dumped in the area, leaving a mooring via a zodiac boat.
Following complaints regarding these interventions, the Muğla Environment and Urban Planning Directorate initiated an investigation. According to a report by Gazete Magazin, it was determined that the pier built in the area, which is within the boundaries of the Datça - Bozburun Special Environmental Protection Area and has the status of "Area to be Preserved for Natural Character," was illegal.
As a result of the lawsuit filed, the court approved the demolition of the pier built by Gökbakar. Thus, the pier, which was blocked from entry with the "private property" sign, was demolished as a result of the legal process.
