The Türkiye Cultural Road Festival will be held in Sakarya for the first time this year, between July 4-12. Speaking about the festival, which will feature hundreds of programs ranging from free concerts to exhibitions, and theater plays to gastronomy events, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said, 'We will showcase the cultural richness of Sakarya, which enters the festival route for the first time, to broader audiences.' Many artists such as Haluk Levent, Demet Akalın, and Kıraç will perform at the festival.
As one of Turkey's largest culture and arts organizations, the Turkey Culture Road Festival will be held in Sakarya for the first time this year. Taking place between July 4-12, the festival will feature hundreds of programs, from concerts to theater, exhibitions to gastronomy events, meeting art lovers.
The ninth stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival will be Sakarya for the first time this year. Throughout the nine-day organization, numerous events in culture, arts, and gastronomy will be held at various points in the city.
"SAKARYA'S CULTURAL RICHNESS WILL REACH WIDER AUDIENCES"
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that Sakarya's inclusion in the Turkey Culture Road Festival for the first time is an important step, adding that the city's cultural heritage and living traditions will reach much wider audiences.
Emphasizing that Sakarya's cultural accumulation will become visible through hundreds of events during the festival, Ersoy expressed that the city brings together history, culture, and nature in the same pot.
Ersoy stated that the Justinianus Bridge, dating back to the 6th century, the historical houses of Taraklı featuring important examples of Ottoman civil architecture, Sapanca Lake, an indispensable destination for nature enthusiasts, and Karasu Beach, one of the longest coastlines of the Black Sea, are among the important values that constitute Sakarya's cultural identity.
Minister Ersoy also noted that thanks to the selection of over 45 "Flavor Points" created within the festival, Sakarya's gastronomic richness will be discovered by visitors, and expressed his belief that the organization will make significant contributions to cultural tourism.
FREE CONCERTS WILL BE HELD
Within the scope of the festival, free concerts to be held at Millet Garden will feature Haluk Levent, Ferhat Göçer, Demet Akalın, Sefo, Ebru Yaşar, Resul Dindar, Bayhan, Oğuzhan Koç, and Kıraç.
In addition, Turkish Folk Music concerts, piano recitals, discussions, and the theater play "Milk Brothers" will also be included in the program.
SAKARYA'S LOCAL FLAVORS WILL BE PROMOTED
At over 45 "Flavor Points" created within the festival, Sakarya's local cuisine will meet visitors. Especially the geographically indicated Islama Meatballs and Adapazarı Pumpkin Dessert, along with dartılı keşkek, mancarlı pide, Circassian chicken, and many flavors from Abkhazian cuisine, will be offered to participants.
EXHIBITIONS AND CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED
Throughout the festival, exhibitions, traditional art workshops, cultural heritage events, and literary discussions will be held at various points in the city.
At the Children's Village to be established in Aziz Duran Park, special programs for children will be held with creative workshops, digital experience areas, and educational activities.
