Samsunspor announced that 137 accounts that insulted president Yüksel Yıldırım and executive board member Zeycan Yıldırım were identified following the match against Fenerbahçe. In the statement, it was noted that those who remove their posts and apologize within 24 hours will be reassessed, while immediate legal actions will be taken against those who do not comply.
After the match against Fenerbahçe, which was played away and lost 3-2 in the 25th week of the Super League, a statement was made by the club due to verbal insults and threats directed at Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım and his daughter, Executive Board Member Zeycan Yıldırım, who were in the stands.
137 PEOPLE IDENTIFIED
It was reported that 137 people have been identified so far in the investigations conducted by the legal department of the red-and-white club.
IF AN APOLOGY IS NOT MADE WITHIN 24 HOURS, A COMPLAINT WILL BE FILED WITH THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
In a statement made on the club's official social media accounts regarding the issue, the following expressions were included;
"After the Fenerbahçe match and in the following days, the posts containing insults and threats against our President Yüksel Yıldırım and our Executive Board Member and Marketing Department Head Zeycan Yıldırım have been meticulously examined. Our Legal Department has identified 137 people so far, and investigations are ongoing. Those who remove their posts and apologize within 24 hours will be re-evaluated; however, immediate complaints will be filed against those who do not comply. Our club lawyers will personally follow up on all individuals making such posts."
