MINUTES DISPUTE TURNED INTO A SCALPEL FIGHT

According to allegations, the incident began with a dispute over minutes between two anesthesia technicians working in the operating room. The verbal argument between technicians named B.Y. and E.Y. quickly escalated into a fight. The tension during the surgery caused a brief panic in the operating room.

INJURED WHILE TRYING TO SEPARATE THE FIGHT

According to reports from Olay Medya; Bayram T., a hospital staff member who wanted to break up the fight, was injured on his arm by a scalpel held by one of the technicians while trying to calm the parties down. After the incident, the situation was immediately reported to the hospital management and security units.

TECHNICIANS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Upon notification, security personnel and police teams were dispatched to the hospital. The teams that arrived at the scene took two anesthesia technicians, who were determined to be involved in the fight, into custody. The injured hospital staff member was treated at the hospital.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

Following the incident, the hospital management and the Provincial Health Directorate initiated an administrative review. It was learned that the two technicians involved in the fight were temporarily assigned to different hospitals.
