On the 15th day of the US-Israel-Iran war, the conflict is increasingly spreading in the Middle East. For the first time, a response has come to Iran's strikes on Gulf countries in retaliation for US-Israeli attacks. US media claimed that a missile was fired at Iran from a US-made launcher in Bahrain.

The war that began with the attack of the USA and Israel on Iran on February 28 has entered its 15th day. While Iran's retaliatory attacks in the Gulf continue, it has been claimed that responses have come from Gulf countries for the first time.

The New York Times (NYT) alleged that a missile was fired at Iran from a US-made launcher in Bahrain. The newspaper reported that a video confirmed by them showed ballistic missiles being fired from the US-made launcher in Bahrain towards Iran.

FIRST CONFIRMED ATTACK

The report stated that the footage shared on social media has been recorded as the first confirmed attack from a Gulf country towards Iran since the start of the attacks by the USA and Israel on Iran.

In the news, it was noted that the video shared on social media on March 7 was confirmed to have been filmed near a residential area in northern Bahrain and close to the airport, claiming that two missiles fired were seen heading northeast over the sea towards Iran.

US-MADE HIMARS

Wes Bryant, a national security analyst who served in the US Air Force, and missile expert Fabian Hoffmann from the University of Oslo argued that the launcher shown in the video is a US-made M142 HIMARS truck.

The news noted that it was unclear whether the missiles were fired by the US military or the Bahraini military, and mentioned that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) recently shared photos of the HIMARS launcher on social media, stating that these weapons provide "unmatched deep strike capability in the fight against the Iranian regime."

The Bahraini government stated in a statement to the newspaper that the military "did not participate in any attack operation," and did not respond to the question of whether the video showed US operations in Bahrain.

The Pentagon spokesperson also refused to comment on the matter.

US EMBASSY IN IRAQ ALSO HIT

Meanwhile, while Iran continues its retaliatory actions against regional countries hosting US bases, the capital of Iraq, Baghdad, has become the target of a new attack.

According to reports from Iraqi media citing government officials, a missile hit the helicopter pad located in the US Embassy compound in Baghdad. It was reported that a fire broke out after the attack, and images shared on social media showed flames and smoke rising from the embassy compound. No statement has yet been made by the US Embassy in Baghdad regarding the incident.

The US Embassy in Baghdad, known as one of the largest diplomatic missions of the USA abroad, has previously been targeted by missile and drone attacks.
