In a match played in a league competition for players under 12 years old in Kocaeli, Çubuklubala Spor's coach, Seçkin Tanrıkulu, slapped 18-year-old female referee Sevgi Uzun. Following the incident, the management of Çubuklu Balaspor terminated the coach's relationship with the club.
In the Izmit district of Kocaeli, a female assistant referee was subjected to physical violence by the team's coach during a U12 League match.
HEAD COACH SLAPPED THE FEMALE REFEREE
In the later minutes of the match between Çubuklu Bala Spor and Yuvam İzmit Spor Kulübü, played at Avni Kalkavan Stadium in the U12 League, tensions rose after a decision made by the referee. Çubuklu Bala Spor Coach Seçkin Tanrıkulu entered the field and slapped the female referee in response to the decision. In the incident, 18-year-old assistant referee Sevgi Uzun was subjected to physical violence.
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CLUB TERMINATED
Following the incident, the management of Çubuklu Balaspor held an extraordinary meeting and terminated the coach's relationship with the club. The club issued a public statement apologizing and clearly emphasized that they are against all forms of violence.
