CHP İzmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu reacted to the incident, stating, "I condemn the despicable attacks on the busts of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the Umurcalı and Yeniköy neighborhoods of our Kiraz district, especially on the 86th anniversary of his passing. I curse those who carried out these attacks, which are clearly planned. Those who hope for such treacherous attacks should know that we will not hesitate to protect his sacred memory and the republic at the cost of our lives. I believe that our police and gendarmerie forces will find these traitors and that the necessary punishment will be given before justice. We will not let this incident go unpunished, and we will follow through to ensure that these despicable individuals receive a lesson they will not forget."
