The prosecutor presented his final opinion on the murder case of Sinan Ateş, the former President of the Idealist Hearths. The defendants, Eray Özyağci, Vedat Balkaya, Suat Kurt, Doğukan Çep, and Tolgahan Demirbaş, are requested to be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of premeditated murder. Speaking after the verdict, Sinan Ateş's sister, Selma Ateş, said, "The fact that the individuals we named are not included in the court file is a political maneuver."

In the trial regarding the murder of former Idealist Hearths General Chairman Sinan Ateş, the prosecutor announced his opinion on the main case. Speaking after the decision, Sinan Ateş's wife Ayşe Ateş reiterated her request for the establishment of a commission in the Parliament to investigate the murder, while Sinan Ateş's sister Selma Ateş said, "The fact that the names we mentioned are not included in the court file is a political manipulation. We see that there is no justice in a country where everything is done so easily. So, if Special Operations Police can act so comfortably, what should the Ateş family do?" she said.

After the decision, Sinan Ateş's wife Ayşe Ateş made a statement. Following Ayşe Ateş, family lawyer Şeyda Şahin, mother Saniye Ateş, and sister Selam Ateş also made press statements.

Selma Ateş, the sister of Sinan Ateş, who reacted to the adjournment of the trial, said, "The judge's decision took only two minutes. We want the real instigators. The fact that the names we mentioned are not included in the court file is a political manipulation. We see that there is no justice in a country where everything is done so easily. So, if Special Operations Police can act so comfortably, what should the Ateş family do? Let's all die together. Today Sinan Ateş dies, tomorrow a journalist dies, a woman dies on the street. If we do not all come out of this darkness into the light together, our end is certain. As long as the crime remains unpunished, it will encourage the perpetrators. We all see that they are becoming more aggressive. Turkey has to prove that it is a state of law. It's like a theater being played inside. We watched it like a movie and left. We don't want to make peace with anyone. We don't want our trust in the Turkish judiciary to be broken," she said.

"WE ARE FACING A JUDICIARY THAT WANTS TO COVER UP THE ASSASSINATION"

Providing information about the legal process, Şeyda Şahin, the lawyer of the Ateş family, said, "There is a 19-month investigation and a judicial process that is intended to be concluded within 19 days. We came here to receive the opinion today. It didn't even take three minutes. It was evaluated with the misconception that Tolgahan Demirbaş and Doğukan Cep were the instigators in accordance with the indictment, which is already in the hands of the press. It is alleged that the shooter and the observers Suat Kurt and Vedat Balkaya committed the acts. At the end of the day, no new release has been issued as a result of this opinion. The judicial controls regarding the current releases have been decided to continue. We were given time until September 30 to make our statements. None of our evidence or requests were evaluated. This murder is being tried to be concluded within 19 days. Even a simple slapping incident takes years, but we are facing a judiciary that wants to cover up this assassination," she said.

"IS THERE NO LAW? OR IS IT JUST US?"

Saniye Ateş, the mother of Sinan Ateş, said, "If you ask me if I am satisfied with this court, I am not. The killers are still out there. They are just a show. They left me with two orphans. They will explain the reason for my son's murder. They will give me the killers. I want the killers. These are the puppets of the killers. I want whoever instigated this to come and tell me a reason. Someone who steals bread gets seven years. A neighborhood fight lasts for a year. They followed my son for two years. Can this trial be completed in such a short time? Is there no law? Or is it just us? They are still so low that they threaten my children, my daughter, and my daughter-in-law. I want my son's killers, not them. May Allah be pleased with everyone who supports us. Let no more Sinans die tomorrow. They took one son from me. Let no more Sinans be killed. Help us," she said.
