Due to being accused of promoting illegal gambling, singer Serdar Ortaç was taken into custody and released by the court with a decision of 'House arrest'. Serdar Ortaç, who was taken into custody by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for allegedly promoting illegal gambling and released by the court with a decision of 'house arrest', left the courthouse. Responding to reporters' questions after leaving the courthouse, Ortaç said, "I was released under judicial control. I am very regretful. If I have been a bad example to society, may God forgive me. This gambling curse is still causing problems for me. Whatever kind of affliction this is. I apologize to everyone. If I have been a bad example to the people. I can't say anything. It took my home, took my money, took my marriage, took my health, and now it has brought me to court. How can we further condemn this gambling? How will we explain this to the people? I don't know how to deal with this."

In response to journalists' question, "What will you say about the accusation?", Ortaç said, "It happened unconsciously. I was invited to a hotel opening.
