In the Gülnar district of Mersin, 7 suspects, including former governor H.B., who is reported to have served between 1999 and 2003, were caught while conducting illegal excavations.

Following a tip-off about illegal excavation in the Kalecik area of Mersin's Gülnar district, gendarmerie teams were mobilized.

INCLUDING A FORMER GOVERNOR

During the raid at the address, 7 suspects were caught, including former governor H.B., who served between 1999-2003, and retired gendarmerie personnel A.A. H.B. was released after identification due to procedural differences in the investigation, while 6 suspects were detained.

THEY WERE RELEASED

Suspects A.A, M.T, A.Ü., and M.V. were released after their procedures at the gendarmerie, while E.Y. and H.E. were released under judicial control by the court they were brought to. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
