The statement indicated that the heavy rainfall has resulted in the deaths of 38 people and injuries to 63 others across the country in the last three days, according to initial assessments.

CONTINUATION OF MONSOON RAINS IS EXPECTED

The statement noted that the highest number of fatalities, 19, was recorded in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while 12 people lost their lives in Punjab province. It was also reported that 7 people died due to heavy rainfall in Sindh and Balochistan provinces. The statement expressed that the continuation of monsoon rains is expected, and flood warnings have been issued for some regions in the northern part of the country.
