Şeyma Subaşı, who was detained as part of a drug investigation and tested "positive" in the tests, said, "I am going through a sincere process of repentance. There is a good in every evil. I am responsible for everything I have done."
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had issued a detention order for social media influencer Şeyma Subaşı as part of a drug investigation. A warrant for her arrest was issued on December 18, as it was learned that Subaşı was abroad. Şeyma Subaşı was detained by the Narcotics Division teams of the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command upon her return to Turkey from America on December 29, after landing at Istanbul Airport.
TEST RESULT POSITIVE
After approximately 5 hours of testimony at the prosecutor's office, Subaşı, whose hair and blood samples were taken at the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK), was released under a travel ban. Şeyma Subaşı, who admitted to using drugs, has been frequently in the news lately due to her prayers and verse shares.
Her confession resulted in a positive drug test for Subaşı.
"I AM GOING THROUGH A SINCERE REPENTANCE PROCESS"
After the test result was announced, Şeyma Subaşı shared a video on her social media account, stating:
"I am going through a sincere repentance process, I have gone through it and I will continue to do so. I am in a significant period where I am making real decisions about myself and my future. Right now and always, my focus is on my health, my daughter, and living with more awareness, faith, and responsibility. It has always been this way. But perhaps we are living the fate we need to experience. Of course, there is good in every misfortune. I am responsible for everything I have done. But from now on, I choose to continue my path quietly, honestly, and with respect. I would like to thank once again everyone who continues to see me with understanding and goodwill, both for myself and for everyone involved in this process."
