In the Aksu district of Antalya, 19-year-old university student Zeynep Akagündüz disappeared six days ago after sending a message to her mother saying, "I am with my loved one, don't worry about me." Her mother, Ayşe Akagündüz, made a tearful plea for help in finding her daughter.
Ayşe Akagündüz, who lives in the Aksu district of Antalya, stated that she has not heard from her university student daughter Zeynep for 6 days and tearfully requested help from the authorities.
UNIVERSITY STUDENT ZEYNEP DISAPPEARED AFTER SENDING A MESSAGE TO HER MOTHER
19-year-old Zeynep Akagündüz, who lives in the Murtuna neighborhood of Aksu district, left home last Thursday morning around 06:30 to take the municipal bus from Murtuna neighborhood of Aksu to go to her school in the Department of Counseling at Akdeniz University Faculty of Social Sciences. Ayşe Akagündüz said she was shocked to receive a message from her daughter around 16:00 that day saying, "I am with my boyfriend, don't worry about me."
NO NEWS FOR 6 DAYS
The mother, who stated that she called her daughter several times after the message but did not get a response, said, "I sent a message when she didn't answer the phone. I said, 'My daughter, come back, what are you doing?' We immediately filed a missing person report at the police station. The police teams started an investigation, and Zeynep's phone was also taken for examination," she said.
"THEY SAID IF YOU WITHDRAW YOUR COMPLAINT, WE WILL BRING YOUR DAUGHTER BACK"
The mother reported that they received a phone call from the location where her daughter was believed to be, saying, "They told me to withdraw my complaint and remove the published news, and they would bring my daughter back, but they did not. We are worried about her health. We want to hear her voice. It has been 6 days today, and they neither show us our daughter nor let us hear her voice. We want to file a complaint against her grandfather, grandmother, the boy's father, and mother. My heart has been burning for 6 days. I only received a voice message from my daughter saying sadly, 'Don't worry about me,'" she said.
"MY HOUSE HAS BECOME LIKE A MOURNING HOUSE FOR 6 DAYS"
Akagündüz said, "I am worried about my daughter's health. I want to hear her voice. They neither show us anything nor provide any information. My house has become like a mourning house for 6 days. Her father is also devastated, he is a diabetic and his blood sugar has risen to 500. We can no longer endure this. I want my daughter. I want to hear her voice. I wanted her to be educated and to be a useful person to the state and the nation. Now my only wish is to see her safe and sound," she said.
Mother Ayşe Akagündüz expressed that the house where she believes her daughter is being held is close to their own home, yet they have not been able to reach her daughter. The mother stated that they believe her daughter is being held there against her will and expressed deep concern for both her daughter's health and psychological state.
