The statement of the taxi driver who assisted Cemil Koç, the man who killed university student Ayşe Tokyaz in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, has emerged. The suspect said, "If I had known that what Cemil was referring to was a corpse, I definitely would not have done it," and mentioned that he offered 100,000 lira each to three other people along with himself.

In Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, after being murdered, the body of university student Ayşe Tokyaz (22) was found in a suitcase by the roadside in Eyüpsultan. 7 people who were detained in connection with the murder have been sent to the courthouse, and Cemil Koç was arrested for 'premeditated murder' by the Duty Magistrate, while the other 6 suspects were arrested for 'aiding in premeditated murder' and sent to prison.
THE SUSPECT'S STATEMENT HAS EMERGED
While the investigation into the murder is ongoing, the statement given by suspect Cemil Koç to the prosecutor's office has been reached. In his statement, Koç said: "We were seriously considering Ayşe. We had a religious marriage. Ayşe occasionally used drugs. On the day of the incident, when I kissed her, I smelled drugs. I told her she shouldn't use it and constantly warned her. While she was coming down from the second floor of the duplex house to prepare meze, I heard a noise. When I went to her, Ayşe was sitting and had hit her head against the wall.
I laid her down on the couch; she was dead. After her body cooled down, I called Oğuz K. I picked Oğuz up with my car. I put the body in the suitcase; he didn't interfere. Afterwards, we went to the petrol station with the car, and while we were discussing what to do, he must have gotten scared and sold me out. I got scared too and went to a tavern to think. I called Necmettin and said there is something problematic in the suitcase, we need to bury it, and I told him not to open it and look inside."
SHOCKING CONFESSIONS FROM THE TAXI DRIVER
On the other hand, it has also emerged that the taxi driver Necmettin E., who Cemil Koç contacted to destroy the body after the incident and agreed for 500 thousand lira, has given a statement to the prosecutor's office.
The suspect Necmettin E. stated, "Cemil didn't mention any problem with his car to me, he said, 'there's something in my car, hide it, I will ask for it back in 15 days.' He offered 100 thousand lira to 3 people along with me. Afterwards, I contacted someone named Barış for this job. Barış parked his car next to Cemil's parked vehicle. While sitting in the taxi, I opened the trunk. They took the suitcase from the trunk and put it in the car. While leaving the scene, Barış called me and said, 'there is blood and smell in the trunk.' I told him, 'this job is risky, it's beyond us.' If I had known that what Cemil was referring to as 'there's something in the car' was a corpse, I definitely wouldn't have done it," he said.
