FORMER EMPLOYEES ACCUSE IGLESIAS OF "HARASSMENT"
In reports published in two Spanish-language newspapers, El Diario in Spain and Univision Noticias in the United States, two women, one a housekeeper and the other a physiotherapist, claimed that they were "sexually harassed and assaulted by the Spanish singer during their time working for Julio Iglesias."
THEY FILED A LAWSUIT
It was stated that the incidents occurred in 2021 at Julio Iglesias's homes in the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Spain, and that the former employees have taken legal action by submitting their employment documents, photos, recordings, WhatsApp messages, call logs, and applications for immigration permits to the authorities in those countries.
In statements given by both women, they accused the 82-year-old Julio Iglesias of sexual assault, slapping, harassment, and systematically belittling both themselves and other employees in the workplace.
The five journalists who signed the report stated that they did not receive a positive response to their attempts to contact the singer or his legal representatives.
