The historic White Mansion in Bebek, Istanbul, owned by FETÖ fugitive Akın İpek, was sold in the fourth auction. The mansion, which found a buyer for 1 billion 116 million TL, has a new owner: Ali Bekmezci, a prominent businessman in the textile and maritime sectors.
The sale of the luxury mansion, owned by Koza-İpek Holding and transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) after the July 15 coup attempt, has been completed. The highest bid in the auction was 1 billion 116 million lira, including VAT. The transfer of the title is expected to be completed shortly.
THE IDENTITY OF THE NEW OWNER HAS BEEN REVEALED
Although no official statement has been made, it has been learned that the new owner of the mansion is Ali Bekmezci, the owner of BEKS Socks and Underwear, which stands out in the textile sector, and Beks Shipping, which operates in the maritime field. The Bekmezci Family is particularly known for its textile investments. They made a rapid entry into the maritime sector in 2021 with an investment of five ships.
NO BUYER HAD BEEN FOUND BEFORE
This magnificent structure had been put up for sale three times before, but no results were achieved. The first attempt was made in May last year with a price of 750 million lira, but no buyer emerged. The auctions in 2025 were also unsuccessful due to insufficient demand.
ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE STRUCTURES OF THE BOSPHORUS
The structure, known as the "White Mansion," has 2 basements, a ground floor, 1 normal floor, an attic, and a large terrace. The mansion, which has 695 square meters of closed area and a 208 square meter terrace, is classified as a second-degree historical artifact. It is considered one of the most expensive properties in the Istanbul Bosphorus.
