Just as the shock of 9-year-old Narin Güran's horrific murder was being processed, a series of brutal news began to emerge. The sexual abuse and violence against 2-year-old Sıla, the murder of two young girls, Ayşenur Halil and İkbal Uzuner, by a 19-year-old monster named Semih Çelik, and on the same day, the emergence of sexual abuse footage of a woman in the heart of Istanbul caused outrage. On top of all this, today came the sad news about baby Sıla. All these murder and sexual abuse reports against women left university students in despair. Students made announcements on social media platforms, dressed in black, and turned their faculties into a sea of black.
