Sudan Reports 4 Cholera Cases To WHO

Health Ministry confirms 4 cholera cases in Blue Nile state.

Sudan on Tuesday reported four cholera cases in the southeastern Blue Nile state to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Khalid Hamid, the Health Ministry's head of public relations, told Anadolu Agency that 37 people suffered from "acute watery diarrhea", with three of them died during the past two weeks.
Ministry's tests confirmed cholera disease in four cases.
He said that the Ministry of Health has asked the WHO for vaccination supplies.
On Saturday, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) declared Blue Nile state a natural disaster zone due to floods and rains since last month.
The movement called on local, regional and international organizations to deliver humanitarian aid to save the affected children, women and the elderly. -
