Especially on the European side, the lightning that struck repeatedly in Bağcılar and many other districts turned the night into day. ROADS TURNED INTO LAKES
As a result of the heavy rain in Sultangazi, drivers and citizens experienced difficult moments due to the water accumulation on the streets. Those caught unprepared by the rain sought shelter in protected areas and bus stops to avoid getting wet.
In Taksim, one of the city's tourist areas, those caught unprepared by the heavy rain tried to find shelter at the exits of metro stations. With the rain, the sky was occasionally illuminated by lightning.
CITIZENS EXPERIENCED DIFFICULT MOMENTS
Due to the water accumulation in a shopping center in Sefaköy, citizens had difficulty walking. On the other hand, traffic occurred on some roads due to the heavy rain, and there was congestion at bus stops. Due to the heavy rain in Istanbul, water accumulations formed on some roads, making it difficult for drivers to proceed.
In some areas of the city, the heavy rain negatively affected life from the evening hours. In Esenyurt, Beylikdüzü, and Avcılar on the European side, citizens experienced difficult moments due to the thunderstorm and heavy rain.

LIGHTNING STRUCK IN MANY PARTS OF THE CITY
On the Asian side, heavy rain was effective in Üsküdar, Kadıköy, Maltepe, Kartal, Ümraniye, Sancaktepe, and Beykoz. Due to the rain, water accumulations formed on some streets, and vehicles in motion struggled to proceed.
Drivers and citizens experienced difficult moments due to the flooding of some streets in Maltepe. Citizens sought shelter in protected areas to avoid getting wet. With the rain, thunder was heard along with lightning striking in many parts of the city.
THE PLIGHT OF CITIZENS IN TEKİRDAĞ DUE TO HEAVY RAIN
In addition to Istanbul, heavy rain paralyzed life in other Marmara cities as well. In Tekirdağ, due to the heavy rain, the basements of some houses and workplaces in the Süleymanpaşa district were flooded. On Yeni İstanbul Street, some citizens were unable to enter their homes due to the water accumulation on the streets.
FIRST SOUTHERLY WIND, THEN HEAVY RAIN IN ÇANAKKALE
In Çanakkale, the southerly wind that started in the afternoon gave way to heavy rain in the evening hours. The districts of Lapseki and Gelibolu were also negatively affected by the rain. In Lapseki, drivers struggled to proceed in traffic due to water accumulations.
Some streets in the district were also flooded, and those outside struggled to walk along the edges of the sidewalks. Water accumulations formed in the industrial site in Gelibolu and in the Alaeddin Neighborhood due to the heavy rain.
In Edirne, due to the heavy rain that started in the afternoon, water accumulations formed on the streets. Those caught unprepared by the rain tried to seek shelter from the rain at the entrances of buildings and bus stops.
