Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton chose to take the high-speed train for transportation during her trip to Germany for the Munich Security Conference, but the journey did not go as smoothly as she had hoped. Traveling from Berlin to Munich, Clinton humorously shared the technical difficulties she encountered with the German Railways and some interesting moments on her social media account.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton encountered the mercy of German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) during her train journey from Berlin to Munich to attend the Munich Security Conference. Clinton humorously shared her experiences during the trip.
GERMAN RAILWAYS FAILED
In a statement made through her social media account, Clinton noted that there was a technical malfunction in the bistro section of the train operating on the Berlin-Munich route. She expressed that due to a power outage that occurred halfway through the journey, hot beverage service could not be provided to passengers, and she noted this small inconvenience as part of the German experience.
"NOBODY ASKED FOR MY FILES"
The most striking point in her post was Clinton's significant reference to security and classified documents. The famous politician emphasized that no one disturbed her throughout the journey, using the following expressions: "My experience in Germany so far: I have not been disturbed by anyone asking questions about files."
These words were interpreted as an ironic reminder of the "email and classified document" investigations that affected her tenure as Secretary of State and the presidential race.
IN MUNICH FOR THE CONFERENCE
Arriving in the city for the Munich Security Conference, where world leaders and defense ministers gather, Clinton stated that this calmness and interest during her train journey did her good.
The German public welcomed the choice of a globally recognized figure to prefer a public train journey with interest.
The 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC) will be held from February 13-15, 2026.
