New Party Chairman Özgür Özel announced that Turkey's 27th and last Prime Minister, Binali Yıldırım, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), called him to offer his congratulations.

Speaking during his first live broadcast program with his new title, Özel stated that he and Yıldırım have maintained mutual communication for many years, using the following expressions: "Binali Yıldırım called and congratulated me for the New Party. If I get into a traffic accident, I call; if I call on a holiday, he calls on a religious festival. I value these kinds of relationships greatly. Mr. Binali never falls short in this regard."

Özgür Özel also stated that he did not receive any congratulatory call from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying, "But no such call came from Erdoğan."
