A young woman in Sakarya, who had handed over her children to her estranged husband, claimed that her 11-month-old baby was left next to a garbage container and that she was also assaulted. While the baby, who had signs of battery on their body, was taken to the hospital, efforts were initiated to capture the father, who fled after the incident.
In the Akyazı district of Sakarya, a young woman named İ.D. (19), who has been living apart from her husband O.D. (21) for 2 months, briefly left her two children with their father in the morning hours.
SHE LEFT HER 11-MONTH-OLD BABY NEXT TO A TRASH CONTAINER
İ.D. reported to the police in the evening, claiming that her husband left their 11-month-old daughter E.R.D. next to a trash container in front of her mother's house. The young woman also alleged that she was choked and beaten by her husband O.D., whom she encountered in front of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Sports Complex.
BRUISES FOUND ON THE BABY
Upon the report, health teams dispatched to the scene provided first aid and found bruises on the baby. The baby was then referred to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital (SEAH) for detailed examination and further tests.
FATHER BEING SOUGHT EVERYWHERE
Police teams have launched an extensive operation to capture the father O.D., who is reported to have fled after the incident. An investigation initiated by the Public Prosecutor's Office into the matter is ongoing.
