Former football player and sports commentator Ümit Karan made a surprising suggestion following the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray derby. Stating that Kadıköy has been lucky for Galatasaray, Ümit Karan said, "I would like to make a request to the federation. Let's play the second match in Kadıköy as well. At worst, we can still get 1 point. I congratulate the team. Galatasaray was really challenged this week. They could have possibly pulled the plug in the first half."
While the echoes of the derby played between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray continue, a surprising offer came from Ümit Karan, one of the legendary figures of Galatasaray and a sports commentator.
'YASIN KOL MADE FENERBAHÇE PLAY'
Evaluating the derby, Ümit Karan stated that Fenerbahçe was happy with the 1 point against Galatasaray and expressed that the referee supported the yellow-navy team, saying, "We saw a team that was happy with a draw. They only had one position anyway. Thank God for Yasin Kol, who made Fenerbahçe attack when they couldn't. Galatasaray managed to get 1 point with 12 players. Maybe they weren't even 12, they were about 8.5 players. Fenerbahçe didn't play; Yasin Kol made Fenerbahçe play. We said there wouldn't be a referee like Yasin Kol," he said.
'LET'S PLAY THE SECOND MATCH IN KADIKÖY TOO'
Addressing the TFF, Karan made a striking offer, saying, "I want to make a request to the federation. Let's play the second match in Kadıköy too. At worst, we can still get 1 point. It brings good luck. I congratulate the team. Galatasaray was heavily challenged this week. They could have pulled the plug in the first half."
